As we enter the second half of the spring term our attention turns to supporting the Year 9 students with the next exciting phase of their education - choosing their GCSE subjects. This is the process by which Year 9 students select the subjects that they would like to study throughout Years 10 and 11.
More than 50% of eligible young people have not claimed their government funded child trust fund savings account.
World Book Day was a great success, with activities ranging from scavenger hunts, fancy dress, black out poetry and book swaps.

Year 12 BTEC Performing Arts students took to the stage at Roborough Studios in Exeter University on Saturday 12th February, as part of a one day event called Devising Discovery.

As part of the lifting of Plan B restrictions, from Thursday 27th January the government has stated that it is no longer legally compulsory to wear face masks in communal areas. However, you will also probably be aware of the high levels of infection in our area and that many of the big supermarket chains nationally are still requesting that the public continue to wear masks.

Autumn term 2021 saw the return of sport festivals and tournaments for our local primary schools. These were the first since March 2020, when the pandemic prevented them from happening. We ran different events across the primary age groups for the South Dartmoor Learning Community schools.
