As part of the lifting of Plan B restrictions, from Thursday 27th January the government has stated that it is no longer legally compulsory to wear face masks in communal areas. However, you will also probably be aware of the high levels of infection in our area and that many of the big supermarket chains nationally are still requesting that the public continue to wear masks.
The new core PE activity rotations start on Monday 31st January 2022. Please view the presentation linked below and scroll down to your son/daughter's respective year group. There is an introductory slide at the beginning which will help you make sense of the PE rotations.

Business Olympics for Secondary Schools result. Dan C, Charlie K, Gus KL, Sarah FB and Kieran R have just completed a five week competition to be the best virtual managers in the world in their age group.

Thank you to everyone who came to our sixth form open evening. For those who weren't able to attend, please see this summary and information.
Autumn term 2021 saw the return of sport festivals and tournaments for our local primary schools. These were the first since March 2020, when the pandemic prevented them from happening. We ran different events across the primary age groups for the South Dartmoor Learning Community schools.
We are delighted to be involved with the ‘River of Hope’ project, organised by the Thames Festival Trust and the British Council.
We can officially reveal that we have been included in the top 100 senior schools by The Cricketer Magazine. We are in the Schools Guide 2022 for the second year in a row, alongside some famous establishments. We are one of only 15 state schools, which is fantastic!
Thank you to Mr Pryke, Ms Tilley, Ms Mason and Mr Roberts for their continued support for cricket at SDCC during a challenging period.
Orin H is leading the way, as many of our students continue to excel in the study of personal finance. Orin has just completed the Lessons in Financial Education Certificate in record time and with an average score of 94% across the three exams.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our sixth form open evening.
