At South Dartmoor, our dedicated and creative English department strive to encourage and inspire a love of language and literature in our students. Literature has the power to help shape our students into independent, creative, and aspirational learners who feel well equipped to navigate the wider world. English at South Dartmoor will provide opportunities for all students to study a range of texts, writers, genres and to embrace the universality of literature. All students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to be able to think, write and speak like English scholars.
