REACH Trail Trotters
The Trail Trotter runners recently experienced a fantastic run on Dartmoor during our second REACH (Realising Educational Aspirations through Expanding Cultural Horizons) session, and were blessed with unexpectedly clear weather. As the clouds parted, the group was treated to breathtaking views of the rugged landscape.
The runners set off with enthusiasm, their spirits lifted by the improving weather. Dartmoor, known for its challenging terrain and scenic beauty, did not disappoint; the clear skies revealed panoramic vistas that seemed almost surreal in their clarity and vibrancy.
Participants described the experience as invigorating, with the combination of fresh air, physical exertion, and stunning scenery creating a perfect day out. The camaraderie among the runners added to the enjoyment, making it a memorable event for all involved. One runner, whilst admiring the view from the top of Rippon Tor, commented "This is why I come to school”!!!
As the Trail Trotting runners continue to explore new trails, this Dartmoor run will undoubtedly be remembered as the first of many picturesque and enjoyable outings.
