Outstanding students awarded
We have been able to award 10 outstanding students with brand new Google Pixel 3 phones. This is in recognition of their dedication to their studies and all round outstanding achievements, during what has been an exceptionally turbulent year. It is hoped that these awards will keep the students connected with their learning, no matter what the coming years hold.
These awards would not be possible without the generosity of the Peter Jones Foundation. We are developing our relationship with the foundation and many other organisations in education and the world of work, so that we can continue to offer our students first class support, guidance and opportunities in the future.
Barry Rodgers, Head of Business, Economics and Finance, said: “This is a very exciting time and, with the easing of restrictions, I am looking forward to working with industry to recognise the accomplishments of our phenomenal students and generate more opportunities to work hand in hand with industry - to prepare our students for their futures.”
Peter Jones CBE said: “I set up the Peter Jones Foundation because I believe that with the right mix of support and opportunity, every young person has the potential to achieve great things and the right to a brighter future. To achieve this we deliver world class enterprise education through our Foundation for Enterprise, and support some of the most disadvantaged young people to improve their lives through our Foundation for Children."
